Don't miss this enlightening presentation by Jeff Mahadeen. Jeff's unique background as an anatomist, educator, Rolfer and dissection labs will give this show an insightful view. He will be relating the lectures to myofascial chains (kinetic chains) and postural distortions all the while relating the myofascial chains to locked long and short muscles. Also, we will be discussing origins, insertions and functions of the muscloskeletal system especially those typically hard to see muscle attachments.
In addition, Jeff will be going through the exhibit of cadavers discussing the many soft tissue pathologies (frozen shoulder) and treatment protocols.

In this workshop we will explore the complex iliopsoas, quadratus lumborum lumbar erectors, and piriformis muscles. It is focused on the myology of the region, in order to use regional postural assessment to help distinguish which set of muscles are dysfunctional. The second half of the workshop will center on specific Myofascial Mobilization treatment techniques of the region.
Therapists are required to bring a table, linens, shorts, sports bra or snug t-shirt, pen paper and a viscous lubricant.

Intro to Myo Mobilization of the Spine
Come and explore the spine through the eyes of myofascial mobilization. We will use specific myology and fascial anatomy to help devise treatment plans for scoliosis, protracted head & dowagers hump. We will utilize the following treatment protocols for the said conditions; Myofascial Release, pin and stretch, muscle energy techniques and home exercise programs (HEP).
Plantar Fasciitis Treatment
Come and explore Plantar Fasciitis Treatment models with the owner of the Muscular Wellness Institute, one of the most successful therapy practices in New England. Due to his on-going work with tri-athletes and competitive runners throughout NH, Jeff has developed a treatment protocol for plantar fasciitis. Jeff will be utilizing Myofascial Mobilization, Neuromuscular Therapy and Muscle Energy Techniques to treat this condition.

Neuromuscular Therapy is a comprehensive program of soft tissue manipulation techniques that balance the central nervous system with the musculoskeletal system. Clients who suffer from acute to chronic pain resulting from occupational, sports and/or automobile injuries can greatly benefit from receiving NMT treatments.
This is a one-day intensive course that will cover each of the following:
- Comprehensive muscle study – location, function of the rotator cuff muscles
- Stressors (ADLs) and Trigger Point referral patterns of all the rotator cuff muscles
- 4+ hours of extensive treatment and palpation
Joint kinesiology and muscle myology - How muscle anatomy and function relates to posture, and how poor posture affects the shoulder
- Examination of various muscle and connective tissue dysfunctions of the rotator cuff i.e., shoulder impingement, TMJ and treatments
- Corrective exercises and stretches for the client to employ
